Journal
Notes on stone, form and making.
Material studies, practical care guidance and observations from the development of LOXAIN objects.
Beginning with the surface
Every LOXAIN object begins with the visual and physical character of its stone: colour, mineral movement, texture, weight and the way an edge meets light. Calacatta Viola opens the collection with a warm pale ground crossed by violet, wine, grey and plum veining.
Natural variation
Stone is not a repeatable printed surface. Veining, colour, mineral markings and tonal balance vary from one cut to another. Product photography describes the object and its finish; the precise pattern of the piece received will be individual.
Future notes
As Rosso Levanto, Travertine and Nero Marquina enter the collection, this journal will document their distinct surfaces, appropriate care and the decisions behind each form. No future product is presented as available before its specifications and photography are confirmed.
